New Features & Improvements
- Send Additional Appointment Reminders
- An admin can now customize how many email or text message appointment reminders to send, plus control the timing of those reminders!

To configure your clinic’s appointment reminders, go to Admin → Advanced Setup → Appointment Reminders. If your clinic has access to both email and text reminders, you’ll have two reminders by default:

Email - 1 day before

Text - 1 day before
These will be active if your clinic previously had email / text reminders turned on, or inactive if they were turned off.
Click an existing reminder to modify it or click the + Appointment Reminder button in the lower right to add an additional reminder. You can choose whether the reminder is sent by email or text and how many days or hours before an appointment it should be sent.
Deactivate or delete all appointment reminders of a certain type to completely turn off that type of appointment reminder for your clinic.

No more than two reminders of the same type can be sent for an appointment within one 24 hour period.

You may want to check your subscription in Admin → Fusion Billing Plan to confirm how you are charged for text message appointment reminders before activating or adding additional text message reminders.

The email sent for reminders is the same as before, but the text message now includes the month and date instead of just the day of week of the appointment.

- Test Message Quiet Hours
- Appointment reminders sent by text message now follow quiet hours from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM in your clinic’s time zone. If a text message reminder would be sent during that time, it will now be sent before quiet hours begin, between 7:00 PM and 7:59 PM.
- Navigate to Claim from Invoice
- When an invoice includes a line that came from a claim, you can now easily view that claim by clicking the View Claim
icon to the right of the invoice line.

Defect Fixes
- Can’t save visit signatures
- Resolved an issue that prevented the Save button from being used when trying to get a visit signature on mobile.
- Sent date on intake forms shows future date
- Intake forms sent to portal users after 7:00 PM Eastern will now show the date it was sent instead of the following day.
- Prevent invalid birthdate in patient import
- Birthdates with year “0000” will now be flagged as an error when importing patients into Fusion.
