Overview

The Telehealth Whiteboard introduces collaborative, real‑time drawing and annotation experience within virtual therapy sessions. Designed to support interactive care—including child and art‑therapy use cases—the whiteboard provides synchronized drawing, text tools, host‑controlled access, session-aware permissions, and PDF export capabilities. This feature significantly enhances engagement between providers and clients during telehealth encounters.

Features

  • Clients and hosts can draw and annotate simultaneously.
  • All actions appear in real time for every participant.
  • Supports pen, color picker, and text entry tools.
  • Only the host sees the option to launch the whiteboard.
    • When launched, the whiteboard auto-opens for all attendees.
    • When closed or when the host leaves, the whiteboard auto-closes for all.
    • Participants who join late automatically see the current whiteboard.
  • Drawing activity is stored in memory for the duration of the session.
    • Upon reopening the whiteboard, the previous content is restored for the host.
    • Late joiners receive a full replay of the whiteboard state.
  • Clear option is host‑only.
    • Includes a confirmation prompt to prevent accidental data loss.
    • Clearing is synchronized instantly for all users.
  • Whiteboard can be exported as PDF capturing all visible content.
  • Download visibility follows session type rules:
    • 1:1 sessions: Host and client can download.
    • Group sessions: Only the host can download; clients cannot see the option.
  • Whiteboard icon placed under the “More” menu on all device types.
