New Features & Improvements
- New Billing Job Status Indicators
- New job status indicators now refresh the job status automatically. When a processing job is In Progress on a History screen, the Job Status will now automatically refresh when the job is complete. Users no longer need to navigate to another screen, or refresh the screen, to see the Job Status update. This change applies to Unprocessed Services, Unbilled Charges, Unprocessed Remittances, and Reprocessing History.
- Update to Remittances Pagination
- The pagination was updated on the legacy Remittances screen so that the first 50 records display on the first page and selections may be made across pages.
- New Supervisor Reporting Option - 837P Configuration
- The 837 Professional configuration screen now includes a Supervisor Reporting field to report the Supervising Staff in both the Rendering Loop (Loop 2310B) and the Supervising Loop (Loop 2310E). Users must select the Report Staff checkbox for these loops to report. This option should not be selected unless a payer or clearinghouse specifically requires it.
- New Supervisor Condition for Payer Rates
- A new Condition has been added within Configuration - Services/Payers > Payers > Rates under the Procedure Modifiers - Defined Filters section. The Condition is labeled "When a Supervisor is Billed." If "Bill for Supervising" is selected under Payers > Processing, and a Supervisor was entered on a given service, the Modifier entered with this Condition will be attached to the charge during Charge Processing.
- New Warning Logged for Reporting Supervisor - 837P Configuration
- A warning is now logged if "Report Supervisor in the Supervisor Loop" is selected in the Supervisor Reporting field, and no Supervisor is present on the service. The warning will display in the Unbilled Charges, within the Errors and History tabs.
- Update to FormDesignEHR
- FormDesignEHR was updated to correctly handle a scenario when a field tied to a radio button component was replaced with a user validation field containing a new set of values. The old, deprecated values were included in the validation with an end date and this combination was not handled correctly in FD user validation, causing blank fields when adding records.
- Time Display Change for Custom Forms
- An issue was discovered where custom forms in FormDesignEHR with the TimeZoneOffset property, would save time in UTC without accounting for Daylight Savings Time, causing a one-hour discrepancy between custom forms and reports. We have introduced a new SQL function, "dbo.EchoCore_DateTimeForTimeZoneNoDst" to ensure the time stored from custom form is displayed correctly in Reports.
- Agencies must manually update their custom reports to replace the original "dbo.DateTimeForTimeZone" function with the new "dbo.EchoCore_DateTimeForTimeZoneNoDST" to apply the fix.
- Service Definition Rate Modifiers Improvement
- When adding modifiers to rates in a service definition, the priority order will no longer shift until the blue Save button is clicked.
- Client Portal - Requesting an Appointment
- When requesting an appointment in the Client Portal, new requests will now appear in the pending section without needing to refresh. We have also improved the way scrolling behaves.
- New Checkbox for External Labs
- The term “unsolicited” has been removed from lab descriptions. A new Unsolicited checkbox field now indicates labs ordered outside the system. Additionally, when multiple results are returned for a lab order, all will display as ordered outside the system, enhancing clarity and consistency.
Defect Fixes
- Enrollments Form - Program & Location Fields
- In Version 3.60 of the product, a change was introduced to the Program and Location dropdown fields in the Client Enrollments tab form. When one of those components were end dated, a user would not see it available for selection. This improvement caused errors in the Enrollments screen when a Start Date was changed due to a validation in FormDesignEHR to ensure all filtered values are still correct when filtering criteria (date) changed. Now, the system will clear out the Location and Program fields whenever users change the Start Date, not when users save the form.
- Education/Vocation Tab Error
- Users were receiving a fatal error in the Client Education/Vocation tab. This was caused by a missing Description value in the Employment Status defined list configuration. A fix was implemented to resolve this issue that covers all defined lists without the need to make changes to each.
- Enrollments Form - End Dated Program Validation
- When a program was end dated in Configuration - Services/Payers > Components and that end date was before an Enrollment Begin date, the Enrollments screen would display the ID of the Program instead of the Program Name. A validation has been added to the Enrollments form Program field.
- Self Pay - Bundled Services Fix
- A defect was corrected where extra charges were being generated when a bundled service waterfalled to Self Pay. If such charges were created, they can now be reversed and processed through correctly.
- Client Profile Tab - Suffix Field
- An issue was resolved where users were unable to save data in the Suffix field in the Client Profile tab. The blue Save button will be enabled after entering a change to the Suffix field.
- Unapplied Payments Correction
- An issue with failing Unapplied Payments jobs was corrected.
- Audit Search Results Fix
- Resolved the issue where the Export Results function was not working in Audit Search when there were a large number of results.
- Orders & Results Pagination Fix
- The Labs > Orders & Results window will now paginate based on Common Lab Orders, not individual test results. Each lab order will be displayed as a single line item, with the total number of test results highlighted. Users can click into the results to show the available document.
