REQUIRED PERMISSIONS: Billing Permissions with the ability to "Submit Claims to Clearinghouse" enabled.

 

Claim Rejection:

  • Invalid/missing patient gender code. 

Fix Rejection

Usually this rejection indicates that the Gender is missing from the Insured's information. 

Insured is not self - they have to manually change the gender.

  1. Locate Client and open Client Profile.
  2. Click Bill To & Insurance Info tab.
  3. Scroll down to Manage Insurances. Click Edit.
  4. On the right hand side under Insured Information confirm Gender is not "undefined."
  5. Save changes.
  6. Resubmit Claim.
