I have had several clients request statements for various reasons.  I am able to print statements, but any claim with a copay does not show on the statement.  What is the trick to get a full statement, listing out all claims and all related transactions?

Hi @kristacpcatc! When printing a statement in Fusion, copays will only display if the related claim details and transactions are included. To generate the most complete statement possible, please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Go to Billing > Accounts > Billing Accounts
  2. Select the billing account you want to print the statement for.
  3. In the lower‑left corner, click Print.
  4. Set your From/To date range
    • Any balance prior to the From date will roll up as a “Balance as of…” line.
  5. Under Print, select Statement.
  6. Be sure to check the following options:
    • Print Claim Details – This is key. It expands the statement to show claim‑level details, including how patient responsibility (such as copays) is calculated.
    • Print Pending Claims (if applicable) – This will include claims that are not yet finalized, which can help explain expected copays or charges that haven’t posted yet.
  7. Click Print Account.

Important to note:

  • Copays will only appear on the statement once they are part of a finalized claim or have been posted as a transaction to the billing account.
  • If a copay has not yet posted (for example, the claim is still pending), it will not show unless Print Pending Claims is selected—and even then, it may appear as an expected charge rather than a finalized balance.

Hope this helps clarify why you’re seeing those gaps and how to generate a more complete statement!

Thank you. This method still produces gaps in the statement. If a patient pays a copay on the day of service, and the claim is finalized, this transaction does not show up on the statement.  How can I pull an itemized statement that includes all transactions?

Hi @kristacpcatc that method should be producing statements with Co-Pays. This may be a bug in your instance. I’d suggest submitting a support ticket to our team so that they can look into this deeper.
