PERMISSIONS REQUIRED: You must have Billing Permissions.

If a Client has two active Insurances (Insurance A and Insurance B). Insurance A is saved as the Primary Insurance and Insurance B is saved as the Secondary Insurance. When Insurance B is changed to be the Primary then Insurance A will automatically be changed to secondary.

  1. Locate Client and open Client Profile.
  2. Click Bill To & Insurance Info tab.
  3. Click Edit for appropriate Insurer.

    NOTE: It is important to add an effective date for the insurance. The system uses the effective date to determine the correct payer(s) to Resubmit a Claim.

  4. Change the Insurance Type.
  5. Click Save button.
