Edit a Payment

PERMISSIONS REQUIRED: You must have Billing permissions to edit a payment.

You cannot edit a credit card payment in the system. You can remove/add it to invoices but you cannot edit any other information.

 

  1. Locate Client and open Client Profile.
  2. Click Ledger in side navigation and click Payment History tab.
  3. Click Details button for appropriate payment.
  4. Click Edit Amount icon to right of Total Amount.
  5. Edit Total Amount, Payment Method, Date, Payment Number and Notes as appropriate.

    NOTE: If the payment is already applied to an Invoice, adjust the amount distributed to this session in the Payment field.

  6. Click Save button.
