When Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, users will have the option to log in using a verification code sent via text message or email, in addition to their username and password. MFA adds an additional layer of security to validate user identity and prevent unauthorized account access.

Once MFA has been enabled, each user will be prompted to set up MFA using their mobile phone or email the next time they log into Apex. Users will also have the option to opt out of MFA.

Set up MFA for User

  1. Enter your Username and Password
  2. Click the Log In button.

  3. Select a Verification Option from the drop-down to set up MFA. To opt out of MFA, select the Opt Out of Two-Factor Authentication checkbox, then click the Confirm Opt Out button.
    • Select Mobile Phone (SMS) to receive the verification code via text message on a mobile phone.
    • Select Email to receive the verification code via email.

NOTE: Only users with a verified email address will have the option to select Email as a Verification Option.

  4. Click the Send Verification Code button. You will receive a code via the verification option you selected.

  5. Enter the code you received in the Verification Code field. If you did not receive a code, click the Resend Code button to receive a new code.
  6. Optional: Select the Remember this Device for 45 Days checkbox.

NOTE: When this checkbox is selected, you will not be promoted to authenticate via verification code again for 45 days if you continue to use the same browser to log in, and do not clear that browser's cache and cookies. If you clear the browser's cache and cookies or use a different browser to log in, you will be prompted to authenticate with a verification code.

  7. Click the Continue button.
