We have added a new feature within the security module to allow security managers to COPY an existing group’s security, thereby simplifying the security manager’s setup of new groups. This is especially helpful when setting up a new facility database within the system master database allowing the security manager to use an existing group’s security with a change to the name and database. 

Once the security manager has created a new group in the user settings screen, navigate to TOOLS/MENU PERMISSIONS:

The user will be asked if they would like to set up by groups. By choosing Yes, the user can then choose the group that they would like to set up security by highlighting an existing group and choosing OK.

The following security menu appears with the addition of the new copy group selection:

The following pop up box appears to give the user the choice of which group’s security they would like to copy. The user can select the group they would like to copy by highlighting the group and choosing OK.

Once a selection is made, the following box will appear for the user to confirm their choice of group they would like to copy.

The system will confirm that the security has been copied.
