RemindR+ Subtab

The RemindR+ function in Catalyst allows users to create reoccurring reminders that will be displayed on the mobile app throughout the day. The RemindR+ feature is very precise when it comes to timing so there are a few things to keep in mind before you begin.

To ensure that your staff receives the notifications you must be sure to set it up strategically.

• Reminders only work when the user is signed into the assigned Student Target screen (any Playlist) at the designated time it was set. Meaning, that if the RemindR+ was set to 1 PM (the start of the session) and the user starts at 1:01 PM, they will not see the reminder. A solution to this may be to start the RemindR+ at 1:05 PM and repeat it every 5 minutes, until 1:20 PM.
• Reminders that are repeated will show up if they have been in the app for a preset amount of time. For example, if they have a reminder set for every hour, and they are only in the app for 40 minutes, they will not see the reminder. Every time the user exits that Playlist (Baseline, All Targets, Maintenance, or Custom) it restarts the timer.
• Other variables that could impact this are:
  • Due to HIPAA regulations, the app will time you out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
  • Ensure your mobile device's screen settings are set to Always On so your device doesn’t exit your application.
    • Apple - Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > Choose how long you would like the iPad to stay on before it locks.
  • The RemindR+ feature will display reminders when the user is on the Student’s Target screen. It doesn’t work if they are in the SOAP Notes or Documents tab.
  • For an end-of-session reminder, a possible solution might be (for example), if the staff member’s session ends at 1 PM and they are required to begin their SOAP Note at 12:45 PM, you could set the reminder to 12:40 PM and repeat every 45 seconds until 12:44 PM.

Create a RemindR+

Access the RemindR+ subtab from the Setup Tab in the Students Section. 

1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click New RemindR+.
   
    
2. Enter RemindR+ Title.
3. Create a Message to be displayed on the app.
4. Select whether the RemindR+ should Repeat.
5. If Yes:
   • Select From and To to establish how long it should repeat.
   • Select Repeat Every to establish how often it repeats.
6. If No:
   • Select From to establish when the message should appear.
   
    
7. When RemindR+ has been set, it will appear on the Catalyst app as a popup window at the designated time.
