There is now a feature in NPAWorks to transfer both Clients and Staff to another Office/Agency. 
This feature is designed to simplify Client and Staff Transfers from one office to another, and it also works with clients and staff that are integrated with the system.

  1. If you have permission, click on the Settings tab from the main screen of NPAWorks.
  2. If you have permission, click the Agency Transfer button - a new window will open.
  3. In the new window, click either the "Client" or "Staff" tab depending on which type you want to transfer.
  4. Click the drop-down and select the appropriate Staff or Client you want to transfer.
  5. For the Destination Agency, click the drop-down and select the appropriate Office (Agency) you want to transfer them to.
  6. Click the "Transfer" button to complete the transfer.
  7. This tool allows you to transfer multiple clients/staff at once.

You may get errors in this window when clicking "Transfer" about missing Funding Sources and Services.

  • Example - You are trying to transfer a client from Agency A to Agency B.
    • If the client has Services with Funding Source XYZ, then you will need to add this funding source and related services into Agency B as well.
  • Example - You are trying to transfer a staff from Agency A to Agency B.
    • If the staff provides XYZ services, you will need to add these services into Agency B as well.
