Check In a Patient or Change Appointment Status

Permissions Required:  Users with the Self-Scheduling or Scheduling permission can check in patients and change appointment status. Users with the Docs or Billing permission can view appointment information.

 

  1. Click the Schedule tab at the top.
  2. Click Calendar.

  3. Hover over the appointment on the calendar to view appointment details and appointment status icons. 
    • Click the Scheduled icon scheduled_icon.png to indicate an upcoming appointment.
    • Click the Checked In icon check-in_icon.png to indicate the patient has arrived for their appointment.
    • Click the Patient Canceled icon helpscout.png to indicate an appointment has been cancelled by the patient.
    • Click the Clinic Canceled icon helpscout__1_.png to indicate an appointment has been canceled by someone other than the patient.
    • Click the No Show icon no_show_icon.png to indicate that the patient never showed up for the appointment
