Summary
Docking / Undocking allows you complete forms from patient charts while you are NOT connected to the internet. An application will be installed on your laptop which will allow you to access those charts in which you have “undocked” from eCR. It is important to understand that those charts that are “Undocked” will ONLY be accessible by the user / PC in which they have been undocked to UNTIL the charts have been “Docked” (Returned) back to eCR.
This guide walks you through the installation of docking / undocking and how to use the functionality.
Summary of Steps
- SQL Server 2014 Express with Tools must be installed on each laptop.
- An executable must be provided to you from your TGI Project Manger to install on each laptop. (This is the docking / undocking application that will be running on your laptop.
- Each chart / form(s) that will be used for undocking must be identified and provided to your TGI project manager in order to be prepared for docking / undocking. (FormLab forms should NOT require preparation by TGI Development).
- Run the docking / undocking application from your laptop.
- Undock charts / forms to take with you.
- Complete work in the field.
- Connect to the Internet and Dock the charts / forms back up to eCR.
