Create a New Portal for a Patient in the CURES Portal

  1. Select the Patient from the My Client List tab.
  2. Click the Patient's Name in the top right corner of the Chart Details to open Patient Details.
  3. Click on the Patient Portal Admin tab.
    • If no CCDA requests have been sent to the Patient Portal for this Patient, an error message will display at the bottom of screen “Error: Patient could not be found.”.

  4. To create a new CCDA, go to Additional Demographics Info (cont) tab.

  5. Click the Create CCDA button at the bottom of the window. 
  6. The Queue CCDA window will open.

  7. Click the Queue Care Referral button or Queue Online button to create the CCDA. This sends the content of the CCDA to the Patient Portal.

    NOTE: If the Patient has a valid email address entered within Patient Details, an automated Welcome Email will automatically be sent. This will allow the Patient to access their new Patient Portal account. 

  8. Return to the Patient Portal Admin tab, and it will connect to the Provider Portal in ConnectEHR where you will be able to view the newly created CCDA or any other CCDAs created after.
