Permissions Required: Clinic Staff must have Administrator, Clinical Director, PTA, Staff Therapist, Therapy Student, or Therapy Technician assigned in order to manage some of the features of the Flow Sheet.
Objective Text Generation
This brings us to our next section, how Objective Text is created. Outside of building up your Note Templates, you do not have control over how the objective text is formatted. This section serves as an explanation of how the system generates the text.
When you create a daily note the system takes your Flow Sheet, and starting at the top, works its way down the list of functions trying to group them together by code.
For example, if you had the following list of functions:
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 1
- Manual Therapy Function 1
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 2
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 3
- Modality 1
- Manual Therapy Function 2
The system would sort these as follows:
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 1
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 2
- Therapeutic Exercise Function 3
- Manual Therapy Function 1
- Manual Therapy Function 2
- Modality 1
The first function it saw first was a Therapeutic Exercise function, so it grabs all the other Therapeutic Exercise functions and groups them together. The next type was manual therapy so these would show up next and on down the list.
When the text is created we follow the following pattern:
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE: 15 minutes of direct contact time
- Function 1 Note Template
- Function 2 Note Template
- Goals Addressed 1,2,3
- Function 3 Note Template
- Goals Addressed 1,3
GOAL SUMMARY
- Goal 1
- Goal 2
- Goal 3
This pattern gives you the flexibility of not having to record and show direct contact time for each function; rather it is totaled and shown as a whole. You will notice in all of our Note Templates we do not show the Direct Contact time. Under the main heading, the functions are then grouped by the goals that they addressed.
