Introduction to Flow Sheet
The Flow Sheet in Fusion Enterprise is designed to allow the therapist to describe the range of functions (Evaluations, Procedures, Modalities, etc.) performed on a patient. From this description, the system can generate the Objective part of the daily note and derive the correct charge codes for the visit.
There is a companion doc Flow Sheet Tutorial that will lead you through the Flow Sheet in a more step-by-step fashion. While it is not a replacement for this chapter it is a good supplement to follow through with after reading through this chapter.
There are a couple of approaches a therapist can take when using the flow sheet. The first approach we will describe here is a detailed approach, where direct contact time is assigned to each timed function. If you find this approach too detailed, we encourage you to read through to the end of the chapter where we describe some alternate approaches to recording time on the flow sheet.
The flow sheet for a patient may be accessed from many different places in the system. The most direct place is under the Patient Menu: select Flow Sheet and then select a patient. You may also access the flow sheet from the right-click menu of the following dialogs: Schedule, Charges and Documentation, and the Case.
