The Note History tells the story of a Note and captures all actions taken. Below are a few examples of what the Note History will show for various scenarios that may occur during your documentation process. When reading your Note History, please note that the most recent action is on top.

NOTE: In all the scenarios below, the Note author is Queen T., and the Admin/Supervisor is Tracie. These names are fake names used for demonstration purposes, no Client data is used in this article.

 

Submit, Lock, & Sign a Note on Submission:

If you submit, lock, and sign a Note all in one sitting, the date and time for the actions (Note Created, Note Locked, and Note Signed) will be exactly the same and show the date and time you submitted your Note.

IMPORTANT: The ShareNote software considers Note creation to be at the time of submission.

Note was Locked and Signed on Submission, but Needs Modifications:

  1. The Note author locked and signed their Note on submission.

  1. The Admin wanted additional information, so they unlocked the Note and created a task for the author to add additional information.

 

Note was Submitted, Locked, & Signed at a Different Time:

  1. Note author submitted their Note.

  1. The Admin/Supervisor locked the Note later that day.
  1. Note author attached their signature.

 

Note Needs Modifications & Signature Removed:

  1. Note was submitted by Note author.

  1. The Admin needed changes to be made, so she unlocked the Note and removed the signature.
