There are three items that must work in unison for restrictions to be properly administered.

Service Code

Ensure that the Service Code Requires an Authorization is checked.

1. Hover over the Managers tab in the navigation bar, and select Services Manager from the drop-down.
2. Click the Edit service icon for the appropriate Service.
   
   
    
3. Make sure Authorization Required to Use is checked.
4. Click Update Service.
   
   

Authorization

Check that authorizations are approved, and enforced validation is set.

1. Hover over the Managers tab in the navigation bar, and select Service Authorizations from the drop-down.
2. Click on appropriate Service Authorization. 
3. Ensure Status is set to Approved.
4. Select Enforce Validation checkbox.
   
   

Note Preferences 

1. Hover over the Managers tab in the navigation bar, and select Preferences from the drop-down.
2. Click Note Preferences.
3. Make sure Allow Notes Without Authorization is not checked.
