On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group experienced a network interruption related to a cyber security event. Specifically, Change Healthcare reported that it took some of its systems offline to isolate the incident from other connecting systems in the interest of protecting our partners and patients and to contain, assess, and remediate the incident. This was not a Therapy Brands issue. Change Healthcare is widely used to connect clearinghouses which means our customers may experience delays in processing claims and ERAs. Additionally, Change Healthcare is used for some lab integrations and pharmacy e-prescribing. In some limited instances, the electronic transmission of prescriptions and labs may be disrupted.
