As patients show up to the clinic, they need to be checked-in at the front desk. Using the Medication Patient Check-In screen, the end-user can check in these patients. If a patient is not checked-in, this does not prevent them from being dispensed medication. It will be the clinic’s discretion to determine if they want to dispense to patients that have not been checked-in. When a patient is checked-in, the Checked-In button on the Patient’s Chart Details and the Medication Dispensing Screen will be green. Follow the steps below to check-in a patient.
NOTE: For a patient with a hold, the end-user will be allowed to check-in the patient, but the patient will NOT be able to receive his meds unless the hold is removed.
