The Transaction module is arranged with four summary options at the top of the dialog for a quick review of charges and payments for a case. The three separate tabs each give a unique view of the information.

Case Total
The Case Total tab is divided into four sections - Totals, Totals by Source, Charges, and Patient
This tab presents totals based on everything in the case, regardless of filter selection. The Charges section shows an itemization of the type of charges - Insurance, Non-Insurance, and Non-Treatment Charges. The final section, Patient, gives a summary of patient payment/statement information.
Summary - Total Section
The Totals Section gives a complete summary
| Charges | Total charges billed for all dates of service (DOS). |
| Payments | Total payments applied for all DOS from insurance and patient payments. |
| Adjustments | The total adjustment that was made for all DOS. |
| Balance | The current unapplied payments. |
Summary - Totals by Source
The totals by Source section shows payments, adjustments, and balances based on the source - Primary, Secondary, or Other.
| Primary | Amounts specific to the primary carrier/payer |
| Secondary | Amounts specific to the secondary carrier/payer |
| Other | Amounts specific to any other payers. |
Summary - Charges
The Charges section shows an itemization of the type of charges - Insurance, Non-Insurance, and Non-Treatment Charges.
| Insurance Charges | Total for charges that are marked as Insurance Billable. |
| Non-Insurance Charges | Total for charges that are marked as non-insurance billable. |
| Non-treatment Charges | Total for charges that are not connected to a treatment visit. |
Summary - Patient
The final section, Patient, gives a summary of patient payment/statement information.
| Net Payments | Total payments made by the patient, including unapplied money. |
| Unapplied | Amount of patient payments still needed to be applied. |
| EPS Due | Amount due based on the Estimated Payment Schedule (EPS) set in the patient's case. This amount matches what would be found on an EPS patient statement. |
| Due | Amount due from DOS at an invoice state of Bill Patient, plus any non-insurance billable changes (regardless of invoice state). This amount matches what would be found on a non-EPS patient statement. |
| Refunds | Total refunds for this patient. |
| Last Statement | Date of the last patient statement batched for this patient. |
Filtered Total
This Filtered Total summary gives you the same summary sections a the Case Total tab; however, since the display grid is filterable, the Filtered Total tab gives you the total for only those visits you are choosing to see. If you chose to hide all visits except those with an invoice state of Bill Primary, for instance, you would only see the totals for those select visits.
Patient
The Patient tab shows the information specifically for the patient.
| Account Type | Account Type assigned to the patient in the case. |
| Service Type | Service Type assigned to the patient in the Case. |
| Patient Billable | Indicates whether or not the patient is marked as billable in the Case. If Yes, then the patient statement will be generated in Statement Generation. If No, no patient statement would generate. |
| Case Therapist | The therapist assigned to the patient in the Case. |
| Date Referred | Referral Date for the patient as shown in the Case. |
| Date of Birth | Patient's date of birth as assigned in the Case. |
| Net Payments | Total payments made by the patient, including unapplied money. |
| Unapplied | Amount of patient payments still needed to be applied. |
| EPS Due | Amount due based on the Estimated Payment Schedule (EPS) set in the patient's case. This amount matched what would be found on an EPS patient statement. |
