Auto Posting

After selecting a claim in the claim list and viewing the EOB, you have several options. The first option is to select Post from the right-click menu. To understand all of this a little better, let us look at the following example:

The following is a claim for Albert Reed case 111272:

835_AutoPost1.png

If we select Post from the right-click menu, the following would be posted for the visit on 11/14/2006: 97110 would NOT be posted as it was denied for CO-18, which is a duplicate claim or service.

97140 would have two different transactions entered against it. The first would show a payment of

$24.92 and an adjustment of $20.08 with an adjustment reason of CO 42 (Charges exceed fee schedule). The second transaction would be a Patient Responsibility adjustment of $4.98 with an adjustment reason of PR 2 (Coinsurance amount). The PR adjustment would be entered however PR adjustments are only “noted†in the system and are not actually applied against the balance.

G0283 would be posted similarly to the 97140.

After it was posted, the invoice state for this visit would be at Bill Next, and the next entity in line would become the responsible party.

The second option when posting is to select Post All. This will prompt Clinic Controller to work down the list and Post all postable claims.
