Claim Rejection: Invalid/missing patient gender code

Permissions: You must have Billing Permissions with the ability to "Submit Claims to Clearinghouse" enabled.

Claim Rejection:

• Invalid/missing patient gender code 

Fix Rejection

Usually this rejection indicates that the Gender is missing from the Insured's information.

1. Locate Client and open Client Profile.
2. Click Bill To & Insurance Info tab.
3. Scroll down to Primary Insurance and make sure the Gender is not "undefined."
4. Save changes.
5. Resubmit Claim.
