Fix Rejection

This typically happens for Organizations that have the same Rendering and Billing NPI, but only one person is billing out of their Account.

This rejection indicates that a Taxonomy Code is missing on the Claim.

  1. Click Billing in primary navigation bar.
  2. Click Insurers in side menu.
  3. Click Edit for appropriate Insurer.
    • If the Taxonomy Code is required in box 33b you will enter a Taxonomy for the Billing Provider on the Claim. We recommend adding a Taxonomy Code related to Organization for the Insurer.
    • If the Taxonomy is required in box 24J you will enter in a Taxonomy for the Rendering Provider.  We recommend adding a Taxonomy Code related to {Staff} for the Insurer.
