Group By Box
Group_by.png

The Group By Box option allows users to group by the specified column(s). To group, simply drag a column header into the highlighted area or select the Group By This Column option in the right-click menu. Users can group by more than one column.

In this example, the rows are grouped by the Department column. This then shows each Department with sub-rows underneath it. It also provides a count. In this example, we can easily see the blank Department has 1, the Administration Department has 2 and the Clinical Staff Department has 17 rows.

You can use the little arrows to Collapse or Expand each group as well. In the example below, the ones with a purple box have been collapsed to a single line and the one with the pink box has been left expanded.

Right-clicking in the Group By Box area will allow you to:

  • Full Expand - expand all levels of grouping
  • Full Collapse - collapse all levels of grouping
  • Clear Grouping - clear the grouping levels
  • Hide Group By Box - hide the Group By Box section

NOTE: Any groupings made will be cleared once another view is selected or the system is closed.

Column Chooser Box

Columns can be dragged into the box in the lower right corner, titled Customization to hide them from view, or from the box back into the main screen, in any column order. In this example, the Extension, Immediate Supervisor, and Phone columns are hidden from view. Column_Chooser.png

Columns can be reordered by clicking and dragging a column header to another position.

The Column Chooser box can be closed by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the Customization box.

NOTE: All search/sort/group/filter functions applied, will be reset to their default state once another view is opened, or the system is closed.

The Find Panel will allow a user to search for any rows that contain text matching what is entered in this search bar.

Clicking the Find button will search the main screen for matches, and matching cells will be highlighted in yellow.

The Clear button will remove the text entered in the search bar.

A list of recent searches is stored in the dropdown list, which is accessed by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the search bar.

The Find Panel can be closed by clicking the X to the left of the search bar.

NOTE: Search settings will be cleared after clicking X or accessing another view.

Auto Filter Row
Auto_Filter_Row.png

Clicking on the ABC icon in the Auto Filter Row will allow a user to select filters for that column and then type in information as well. For example, selecting Equals and then typing in "Clinical Staff" will only display entries that exactly match (or Equal) the full info provided (Clinical Staff).

Clear Filter – This option will clear the filter that has been applied to the selected column.
Equals – Will return any entries in the column that exactly match the text entered.
Does not equal – Will return any entries that do not exactly match the text entered.
Contains – Will return any entries that contain the text entered.
Does not contain – Will return any entries that do not contain the text entered.
Is like – Will search character-by-character for matches, with the ability to use the “%†symbol to represent all characters. (see note)
Is not like – Works similarly to “Is Likeâ€, but will return entries that do not match the characters entered, including the “%†symbol. (see note)
Begins with – Will return any entry that begins with the text entered.
Ends with – Will return any entry that ends with the text entered.
Is greater than – Will return any entry whose value is “greater†than the text entered. (see note)
Is greater than or equal to – Will return any entry whose value is greater than or equal to the text entered.
Is less than – Will return any entry whose value is “less†than the text entered.
Is less than or equal to – Will return any entry whose value is less than or equal to the text entered.

NOTE: In the case of Is like or Is not like you have the ability to use the “%” symbol to represent all characters. For example: Inputting “T%XT” would return matches for “TEXT”, “TAXT”, “TUXT”, etc. Inputting “%TEXT%” would return matches for “TEXT”, “TEXTxx”, “123TEXT123”, etc.

NOTE: In the case of Is greater than, if considering the alphabetical text, a letter’s value increases from A to Z.

NOTE: Any filters applied to a view using the Auto Filter function will be reset once another view is opened or the system is closed.
