This article will show the user how to create a Parent Portal user account. Please note, that parent portal users will access their client’s schedules via GO. If you would like to use the Parent Portal feature, please contact codemetro.support@ensorahealth.com to have it enabled.
The user account is created by a Parent Portal user from the Client Contacts page in the system. From there the parent record is created on the backend and an email will be sent to the parent user to create their account.
- Click the +(Plus) icon next to the house icon for the first location to expand.
- Select Clients.
- Select the Client you want to create a Parent Portal account for and double-click or click Edit in the top left corner.
- Â Click (+)Add to create a new Contact in the client’s contacts.
NOTE: If the contact has already been added to the client’s contacts list, please skip to Step 6.
- Click the Add(+) button. The New Contact window will appear.
NOTE: If a contact already exists, skip to Step 6.
- Enter the Contact's First Name, Last Name, and Email address. All other information is optional. Click OK when finished.
- Click Save & Close.
- Select the Contact name listed in the Client's Contacts.
- Choose [Parent/Guardian] from the Relationship to Client dropdown. This will trigger the Parent Portal Access checkbox to become visible.
- Check the Parent Portal Access box, if you would like to give the user access to the Parent Portal feature.
- When the Parent Portal Access checkbox is selected, a message will display explaining that an email will be sent to the user in order to set up their account.
- To proceed, click on the OK button.
- If you do not want to proceed, click on the Cancel button.
- Once the Client record is saved, an email with instructions on how to set up their account will be sent to the Parent Portal user.
- Once the user clicks on the link or copies the URL, they will be prompted to Reset your Password. They will need to enter a New Password twice and click Reset.
- They will receive a popup confirmation and instructions to check their email and click on the authentication email. They will need to click on the authentication link in the email. The Parent Portal user account has now been set up. They can now view their client’s schedule via GO.
NOTE: Users who are logging in for the first time will need to complete a licensing agreement by entering the code they are shown (including the dashes!). This is a one-time requirement.
