The Authy Desktop Application satisfies the multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement needed for subscribing to eCR and logging into the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), without the use of a smartphone. The following steps walk through downloading and registering the Authy application and then subscribing to the eCR application in AVD.

Register Using the Authy Desktop Application
1. Download the Authy Desktop application from https://authy.com/download/ Be sure to select the correct download for your operating system.
NOTE: You may need to refresh the page more than once before you can select the correct operating system.
2. Launch the application.
3. Register the Authy application using a phone number. This number can be a cell phone or a desk phone as you can choose to have the application call you. This is a one-time registration.
4. If a number that has already been registered is used, such as an office number, you may see a screen like the one below. This is where you can choose to "Receive Call" or "Receive SMS message" based on your requirements.
5. After adding your phone number, you will be prompted to enter an email address as a backup. Enter your email address. DO NOT SKIP this step.
6. After entering a phone number and an email address, you will be prompted to verify the account. Choose either to "Receive SMS Message" or "Receive Call" based on your requirements. If you opt to receive a call, you will be asked to enter the two-digit code shown in the Authy application.
7. A screen like the one below displays after you have successfully registered.
Subscribe to the eCR Application
1. Open AVD and click Subscribe.
2. Enter your eCR Username + @tgisaas.com in the top field in the Add Workspace window. (for example: username@tgisaas.com).
3. Click Add.
4. Enter your eCR Password in the Microsoft login prompt window.
5. Click Sign In.
6. Click Next on this screen.
7. Click on ”I want to use a different authenticator app.”
8. Click Next.
9. Click on the "Can't scan image?" button below the QR code.
10. Next you will see 2 items appear below the QR code. One called “Account Name” and another called “Secret Key.” You will need these to register the account in Authy. Leave your browser on this page because you will need the "Secret Key" in the next step, and the "Account Name" in step 12.
11. Return to the Authy application and click on the + sign to start the account registration for MFA. A screen like the one below will display. Copy the “Secret Key” from the MFA setup and paste it into this box.
Once done, click on “Add Account.”
12. Copy the value from “Account Name” from the MFA setup and paste it into the Account Name box in Authy. Choose any value for the color, and leave the default selections for all other values.
Click on Save.
13. Once you click save, you will see a 6-digit code in Authy. Return to the MFA setup screen in your browser and click on next.
14. Enter the 6-digit code from Authy on this next screen.
15. Enter your cell number on this next screen, or choose “I want to set up a different Method” and enter your email address. Note that email cannot be used as a primary authentication method at this time.
16. Enter the code sent to you and choose next.
17. This screen verifies MFA setup has been completed.
