The Microsoft 2fast Desktop Application satisfies the multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirement needed for subscribing to eCR and logging into the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), without the use of a smartphone. The following steps walk through downloading and installing the 2fast application and then subscribing to the eCR application in AVD.
Before You Begin:
Download and Install Remote Desktop Client for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

You may need to select "Get in Store App" to initiate the download.
2. Select Open to Launch the application
If you select "More details" first, your screen will look like the image below.
3. Click on Skip for the tutorial:
4. Click on Create new data file (First Start)
5. Click on Choose Local Path
6. Choose a location and a name for the file. You will also need to choose a password for the MFA application.
NOTE: This password will be used every time you open or use the application, so make sure it is something that is easy to remember, or store the password in a password manager. Also Important, the system cannot recover this password, so if a user cannot remember the password they will have to contact support so we can reset MFA for that user.
When done, click on Create data file
7. Click on + Add account to start the registration process
8. Click on Manual Input
9. You will see a screen like the one below. Leave this window open and start the eCR subscription process.
