If you are installing the Topaz T-S460-B-R it requires a Serial to USB Adapter. Use the following instructions to install the driver for this adapter.
If you are installing the Topaz T-S460-BSB-R or Topaz T-LBK462-BSB-R an adapter is not required and you can skip to Installing the Topaz Signature Pad.
- First, identify the adapter that is being used in conjunction with the Topaz signature pad. Search for and install the adapter’s driver from the manufacturer’s website. We recommend using a TrendNet TU-S9 Serial to USB Adapter.
- From the manufacturer’s website download the applicable driver for the adapter.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation of the Serial to USB driver.
- Once the driver is successfully installed you will then need to plug the adapter, and ONLY the adapter, into your computer (without the Topaz connected to it) to be recognized and allow the Setup to install the necessary files to your system.
- Once this completes you can move to the Topaz Signature Pad installation steps.
