Subscribe to eCR & Authenticate Your Account in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) allows you to access the eCR in a secure, cloud-based environment. After the Remote Desktop Client has been installed on your computer, you will subscribe to the eCR application, then authenticate your account with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using the Microsoft Authenticator application on your smartphone. Once you have completed this one-time setup process, you will be able to launch eCR through the Azure Virtual Desktop application.

Before you Begin:

• Download and Install the Microsoft Authenticator App on your Smartphone.
• Download and Install Remote Desktop Client for AVD on your Computer

Subscribe to the eCR Application in AVD

1. Open AVD and click Subscribe.
   
2. Enter your eCR Username + @tgisaas.com in the top field in the Add Workspace window. (for example: username@tgisaas.com).
3. Click Add.
   
4. Enter your eCR Password in the Microsoft login prompt window.
5. Click Sign In.

Authenticate Account with MFA

1. Click Next on the Help us Protect Your Account window.
   
2. Click Next on the Keep Your Account Secure window.
   
3. Click Next again to indicate that you have the Microsoft Authenticator App installed on your smartphone.
   
4. Open the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone and click + to add an account.
5. Select Work or School Account.
6. Select Scan QR Code.
   
7. Scan the QR Code that is displayed on your computer using your smartphone.
8. Click Next.
   
9. You will receive a prompt on your phone asking you to approve the sign-in. Click Approve on your phone.
   
10. Click Next.
    
11. Enter your Cell Phone Number in the Phone field.
12. Click Next to have a code sent to your smartphone via text message.
    
13. Enter the Code you received via text message.
14. Click Next.
    
15. You will be prompted to log in again and another request for approval will be sent to the Authenticator app on your phone. Click Approve on your Phone.
    
16. Click Yes on the Stay Signed In window.
    
17. The eCR application will display inside the Azure Virtual Desktop application.
