Overview
In order to bill for Direct Access clients through MN DHS or UCare (55413), a value code 24 is required. This article will show you what steps you need to take to ensure that this additional five-digit code travels on a claim.
Payers Module
A setting in any payer you will be billing Direct Access with the payer ID MNMAG or UCare (55413) will need this setting turned on.
- Go to Payers Module > Payer Rules tab.
- Find the setting Add value 24 code to claims.
- Set this to Yes.
- Click Save.
Codes Module
Each code can be set up with a Value 24 code. Â
- Go to the Codes Module.
- Double click on the code you want to add the Value 24 code to.
- Go to the Billing tab.
- In the Value 24 Code drop-down menu, select the applicable five-digit code.
- Click Save.
