ePrescribe Quick Start

Once your Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is integrated with Ensora eRx, you'll need to subscribe your staff and prescribers to Ensora eRx. Once users are subscribed, they can begin ePrescribing immediately.

Subscribe to Ensora eRx

An Organization Administrator will first need to subscribe their Providers to ePrescribe in the system. Once subscribed, each Provider will need to register with Ensora eRx.

1. Organization Administrator
   • Register and Subscribe Staff to e-Prescribe - Organization Administrators
   • Select EPCS Administrators
2. Providers:
   • Register for eRx with EPCS - this includes Identity Proofing and Setting up your Token.
   • Register for eRx as Admin/Nurse
   • Register for eRx only - No controlled substances

For EPCS only - Grant or Revoke Prescribers' EPCS Rights

Create a Prescription

Your primary workflow within Ensora eRx will be to electronically transmit a prescription to a patient pharmacy.

• Create a new Prescription
• Renew an Active Prescription
• Discontinue a Prescription
  
   

Ensora eRx Optimization

You have the ability to customize options in Ensora eRx in order to streamline and improve your workflows. You can also manually add in patient data if it was not integrated with Ensora eRx. 

• Add Additional Patient Information:
  • Record and Manage Patient Allergies
  • Record Patient Medications
  • Record Patient Diagnosis
  • Assign Patient Pharmacies
• Add & Manage Favorites
• Add & Manage Drug Sets
• Prescriber Settings:
  • Time Zone
  • Default Height and Weight Units
  • Preferred Notifications
  • Prescription Information
• Customize the Sig Builder
• Select Your Location Pharmacies
