Users can be registered for different roles. The user role determines the access and prescribing ability that user will have in the system.
User Roles
Admin: This role is for non-prescribers. Admin users have access to the Med Entry and Pt Details screens but do not have access to the Compose Rx screens. Admin users may pend prescriptions for a prescriber to send later.
EPCS Admin: This role can be a prescriber or a non-prescriber and has to ability to Grant or Revoke EPCS rights to EPCS prescribers.
Nurse: This role is for nurses who are authorized to prescribe on behalf of a doctor. This role will have a doctor associated with their prescriptions.
Midlevel Prescriber: This role is for midlevel nurse practitioners or physician assistants who require supervision. This role will have a supervising physician associated with their prescriptions.
Doctor: This role is for prescribers who do not require a supervisor. The Doctor user role is appropriate for a doctor or midlevel nurse (such as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner) who does not require supervision to prescribe. This user role has access to all primary system screens.
