This article demonstrates how to delete a patient, delete an admit, or merge admits.

If the user has the proper security, go to OPTIONS>DATA TABELS>PATIENT.

Find the patient in question.

To delete a PATIENT (i.e. the patient only has the one admit or InTake call and no charges, pmts or adj are posted to the acct and the user wants to delete the entire MR# and pt info).

To DELETE an ADMIT, follow the same lookup instructions, but instead of DELETING from the screen above, UPDATE/F5 the MR#.

Once in the patient record, select PROCEDURES.

Select Delete Admission.

Select the admission number that should be deleted.

To Merge MR# select Merge MR#.

Enter the MR# that you are wanting to merge in to in the Into MR# field and press OK/F1.
