To access the service setup, navigate to the Enterprise page and menu items.
- Click Setup.
- Select Services Setup.
- Select Services.
To Add a Service
- Click the Add sign.
- Complete the applicable fields.
- Service Code is a brief description of the service
- Description is the full description of the service
- Rev Code - Select the Revenue Code
- Qual Procedure - CPT/HCPCS if applicable
- Department - Associate the appropriate department code the service will hit
- Place of Service - enter place of service if applicable
- Gross Rate is the gross amount of the charge
- Minutes - Enter minutes if the service is a time-based service
- Under Options:
- Professional - if the service is to bill on a HCFA
- For Billing - if the service is to be used for translation
- For Posting - If the service will be a keyed service
- Use for Scheduler - if the service should display as an option on the scheduler
- Click Save.
- Attach the service to the Service Master Set.
- Highlight the service.
- Select Service Master Sets.
- Select the Business Unit(s) that should have access to the service and Save the screen.
- Services Need to be attached to the appropriate bundle(s).
- Refer to Documentation for Bundles.
Edit a Service
From the Services Menu.
- Filter for a specific service by selecting Open Filter.
- From the Filter you can search for a service, description, Rev Code, Qualified Procedure (CPT/HCPCS code), service or billing category, Sets, etc.,
- Select Apply.
- Open Filter Options
- Select the Edit Pencil icon for the service being edited. Change the data that needs to be updated and Save the changes.
- You can sort by service code, description, Qualified Procedure, Department Code, Gross Rate, Minutes, POS Code, Revenue Code, Use for posting or Use for billing and search for the service or you can scroll up and down to find the service to edit.
Inactivate a service
NOTE: You do not delete a service.
- The service may be attached to an account/claim that would cause issues with the historical data.
Select the service that you want to make inactive by highlighting the service.
From the ribbon bar
- Select Service Master Sets.
- Uncheck the site set and Save.
- The service will no longer be accessible from the facility options.
