This document will illustrate how to run a census dump report. Once logged in to the system, the User should click the Bar Graph in the top Right Corner and then Click Create Report.
- Highlight Census and Click Select.
- The Census Report Module will open. Complete the screen as shown below.
- Type the Report Description to match how the user would like the report to read.
- Check the box for the desired Business Unit. (Some facilities will only have one)
- The Report can be based on Census Dates, Admit Dates, Discharge Date, or Last updated.
- Enter the Desired Date in the Date Range box.
- Click Select Filter to filter the Report by specific Levels of Care, Programs or Service Facilities. Be sure to Click Apply before closing the filter.
- Note: If the report should contain All Patients, then the filter is not necessary.

- The Census Report has the following options for Report Type Format:
- Web report- This report will give the user information regarding the patients that can not be edited of changed and will open an a Web Window.
- Excel Dump - This report displays patient information in a set layout in an CSV file which opens in the user’s default program (most commonly Excel). If the user clicks the Excel dump the User must check a box for the desire dump type Example: Clinical Details, Financial Details and Room & Board Charge Reconciliation. The user can also uncheck any that are not needed in the report.
- Extract - This report allows the user to customize the report, allowing which data the user wants to see in which order (Columns). The Extract is also a CSV file which opens in the user’s default program. (Most commonly Excel.)
- PDF - This report displays patient information in a set layout in a PDF format.
- Fill the appropriate fields and click Run Report.
- To schedule the report to run at a different time click Run Now to schedule when the report should run.
- The report will run in the background so the user can close the processing box.
- If the user decides to wait for the report to process the window will populate like the box below.
- Click the link and the report will open in the Report type the user chose.
- The system will notify when processing is complete with an indicator on the bar graph link should the user decide to close out the processing box before the report finishes.
- Go to the Right-hand corner and click the bar graph.
- Click the Title to open the report. (It will be underlined)
