Set Up a Pharmacy for In-House Dispensing

Setting up an in-house pharmacy allows prescribers to record prescribing events for in-house dispensing. This is helpful if prescribers need a way to record approval of medication for dispensation. When you set up an in-house pharmacy, an in-house dispensation option will be added as a selectable pharmacy for prescriptions. The in-house pharmacy also displays on the Location Pharmacies List.

Set up a Pharmacy for In-House Dispensing

1. Click the Configure In-House Dispensing link from the Account Configuration section of the Admin tab.
   
    
2. Click the Dropdown Arrow to open the In-House Pharmacy Setup section.

   NOTE: The In-House Pharmacies list below the In-House Pharmacy Setup section displays all in-house pharmacies associated with the account. Users may only edit the pharmacy associated with their practice.

    

   
   
3. Select the Enable In-House Dispensation checkbox.
4. Enter In-House Pharmacy Name and Address. Entering a Phone and Fax number is optional. If the pharmacy fax number is populated, a fax will be sent to the in-house pharmacy.
5. Click the Save button.
