You can have multiple Patient Pharmacies assigned to each patient. Use the pharmacy drop-down list to select the preferred Patient Pharmacy for each prescription. The pharmacy drop-down list is located in the upper right corner of the screen and displays the name, complete address, phone number, and fax number for each pharmacy on the patient's assigned pharmacy list. When you create a new prescription, the pharmacy associated with that prescription will default to what is currently selected as the preferred patient pharmacy. Selecting a new preferred patient pharmacy will also associate that pharmacy with any prescriptions on the Pending Rx list.

You can also select a different patient pharmacy for each prescription from the Pending Rx list or on the transmit page before you send the prescriptions to the pharmacy. This can be helpful if your patient often uses more than one pharmacy, or if you are sending multiple prescriptions to different pharmacies at the same time.

The pharmacy that is currently selected on the pharmacy drop-down list will be automatically associated with each new prescription for the patient. If you need to, you can always select a different pharmacy any prescription before you send it to the pharmacy.

Change the Pharmacy on a Prescription

You can select a different patient pharmacy for any prescription on the Pending Rx list, or from the Transmit page before you send the prescription to the pharmacy. To select a different patient pharmacy for a specific prescription, click on the pharmacy name in the Pharmacy column, then select a new pharmacy from the drop-down list. You can also enter a patient pharmacy name in the field at the top of the drop-down list to quickly jump to that patient pharmacy.
