The RxInform Patient Adherence Program will contact patients via SMS with prescription information. This program has been shown to increase patient medication fulfillment and adherence rates.
RxInform provides clinical education on the prescribed medications, including prescribing directions and the therapeutic intent for the drugs. The RxInform site also indicates the pharmacy the prescription was sent to and allows the user to set up reminder notifications to pick up the medications.
This program may be enabled or disabled at the account level, which will disable the service for all patients. This is found on the Admin tab -> Account Settings page and may be adjusted by any user with access to ERX.
You may also opt-out for an individual patient. This may be found on the Patient Details tab, under Patient Consent.
Note that the patient will initially receive a text message that requires their confirmation to receive further messages.
