The system includes the following date information for prescriptions: Effective Date, Stop Date, Written Date, and Fill Date.

Effective Date
The Effective Date is the date the prescription is allowed to be filled by the pharmacy. This is usually the same as the Written Date. However, it is also possible to set a future Effective Date.

Stop Date
The Stop Date is the date the patient is to stop taking the medication as prescribed.

Written Date
The Written Date is the date the prescription is actually written.

Fill Date
The Fill Date is the date the patient picked up the prescription from the pharmacy.

To access Prescription History, click the drop-down on the Edit button next to the medication, select Detail, then scroll down to the Prescription History section. |
NOTE: Fill Date is only displayed in Prescription History when provided by the pharmacy.
