Manage DEA Numbers on the DEA Maintenance Page

Add additional DEA numbers and set default DEA numbers for each prescribing location on the DEA Maintenance Page. When you set a default DEA number for a location, you will still have the option to select another DEA number from the DEA drop-down at the time of prescribing.

 

NOTE: Your Primary DEA Number displays at the top of the DEA Maintenance Page. This number must be edited in the user setup of your EHR and can not be edited from this page.

 

 

  1. Click the DEA Maintenance link from the EPCS User Controls section of the Admin tab.

     
  2. Click the Add Location DEA drop-down to select a default DEA number for that location.
  3. To Add an Additional DEA Number:
    • Enter the DEA Number in the Additional DEAN field.
    • Optional: Click the Select drop-down and select a Location to make this the default DEA number for that location. 
    • Click the Add Additional DEAN button.
