PERMISSIONS: You need the Docs permission to use the pull forward option in documentation.
When completing a document in the system, users have the option to pull forward information by selecting the Pull Forward button.
What document does the information pull from?
The system determines what content appears when using the pull forward option by looking at the last signed document that has information populated for that section. Let's look at an example.
| Jan 1 | A Daily Note is signed that includes data in the Take-Home Activities section. |
| Jan 8 | A Daily Note is signed that does not include data in the Take-Home Activities section. |
| Jan 15 | The Pull Forward button is clicked in the Take Home Activities section. The system will pull forward the data that was entered on January 1, since the note from January 8 had no data populated. |
NOTE: Which document is the most recent? The system will pull forward information from the document with the most recent date of service that has data and is signed, not the document that was signed most recently.
What information is pulled forward?
When the Pull Forward button is clicked, it will pull selected sections and data.
Eval-Type Documents with Multiple Sections
When using the Pull Forward option in a segment with multiple sections (e.g. Tests & Measures), the system will pull forward the segment as a whole, not the individual sections. For example:
| Jan 1 | An initial evaluation is signed with the following tests:
|
| Apr 1 | A progress note is signed with the following tests:
|
| Jul 1 | The Pull Forward button is clicked in the Tests & Measures section of a re-assessment. The system will pull forward the following tests:
The Active Movement Scale will not be included because it was not used in the most recent signed document. |
