When billing CCBHC services, in order to have all Shadow Claims billed on the same claim as the Daily (PPS-1) or Monthly (PPS-2) Services, these other settings should be observed:
- Service lines in Payer > Billing Methods > 837 must not be set to "1". Setting this value to "1" will not allow the shadow claims to appear on the claim.
- Both the PPS services and the shadow claims must be mapped to the same Billing Provider NPI in Organizations or Payer Mappings. Most payers require a CCBHC-specific NPI.
- Both the PPS services and the shadow claims must be mapped to the same Billing Provider Taxonomy in Organizations or Payer Mappings.
