Scoring is most commonly used when a Client is asked a series of questions and the answer to those questions are assigned number values. The number values are than totaled to equal a Score. An example of this is seen in the TGI Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7 Form (Sort Name: TGI_GAD7).

In FormLabTM, scoring is done using the Scoring Editor and the Calculation Control.

NOTE: The Scoring Editor is only available in the Yes/No, Checkbox (N/A), Choose Multiple, and Choose One Controls. The Number Control also works with Calculation.

The Scoring Editor is used to assign number values to the radio buttons/checkboxes associated with the controls listed above. For an example of how to use the Scoring Editor within the Yes/No control, see below:

  1. Right-click on the control > Edit if the control already exists or right-click on [Section] to add the control.
  2. Select the Scoring Editor button.
  3. Assign a number value to each available option; Yes, No and Not Answered.
  4. Click Ok.
  5. The Scoring Editor symbol will now be green.
