FormLab: Get Started

The FormLabTM is a module that allows you to design and publish your own forms in eCR. The forms you create work identically as any other form that is provided in eCR. Current functionality allows you to create standard forms as well as Assessments, Treatment Plans, Billable Notes, Superbill Forms and forms that can be seen in the Form Portal. You can also export the data generated by published forms and add it to your Power BI File provided by the system.
 

Key tasks to complete before creating forms in FormLabTM are:

  • Access Level Permissions - For all access levels that will be given permission to use/publish in FormLabTM follow the steps.
  • Licensed Users - Once a user is given permission to access FormLabTM and to publish FormLabTM forms, the user must be added to FormLabTM Users list.
  • Tool Strip Buttons - Once you get into FormLabTM, the buttons that you'll see are defined here.

To access FormLabTM, go to Administration > FormLabTM.

Access Level Permissions

For all access levels that will be given permission to use/publish in FormLabTM follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Administration > Access Levels.
  2. Select an existing access level or create a new access level.

  3. Select the 2nd User Access tab.
  4. Check the box for FormLabTM to allow access to FormLabTM.
  5. Check the box for FormLabTM Publish to allow access to publish FormLabTM Forms.
  6. Save and repeat for each access level that will be given permission to use/publish in FormLabTM.

Licensed Users

Once a user is given permission to access FormLabTM and to publish FormLabTM forms, the user must be added to FormLabTM Users list.
 

Add a Licensed Users

  1. Go to Administration > FormLabTM Users.
  2. In the Unlicensed Users list, click once on the username you want to add, highlighting it.
  3. Click Add >.
    • The user will now appear in the Licensed Users list.
  4. Click Save Licensed Users.
  5. Repeat for each desired user.

Remove a Licensed User

  1. Go to Administration > FormLabTM Users.
  2. In the Licensed Users list, click once on the username you want to remove, highlighting it.
  3. Click < Remove.
    • The user will now appear in the Unlicensed Users list.
  4. Click Save Licensed Users.
  5. Repeat for each desired user.

Tool Strip Buttons

  1. Select the Form Library tab to view all saved drafts and published FormLabTM forms.
  2. Select the Save Form Design button to save the form design you are working on.
  3. Select the Preview button to display a preview of the form you are designing.
  4. Select Start New Form to quick-start the creation of a new form.
  5. Select Publish to add the form to the eCR Form List where it can now be added to a chart structure.
  6. The Search controls field allows you to search within the form you are currently designing.
