Once a form is created, what you are able to edit is determined by whether or not it is published.  See below for details on what can be edited, based on the published status of the form.

Jump to Section:

Edit an Unpublished Form

  1. To edit an unpublished form, start by opening the Form Library.

  3. Now you can edit the form design but because the form was published, there are very few changes you can make. Refer to the list below for the changes you are able to make.
    • Remove or add borders around a Section.
    • Make a control required or not required.
    • Create/modify control actions upon another control.
    • Change the order of the Yes/No radio button control and label name.
    • Change the size of Text boxes.
    • Bold/not bold and/or center/not center Display Only controls.
  4. Click the Save Form Design button to save your changes. You cannot re-publish the form.

NOTE: If you want to modify a published form using all the features available in the creation of new forms or when editing non-published forms, you must copy the form following the steps in the Copy a Form article.
