If you need to create a new version of a form, perhaps due to a rule, regulation or requirement change, this is how you would do that.
NOTE: You can only create new versions of published forms.
NOTE: A new version of a form does have a relationship with the previous version. The new version will populate any controls or fields that were filled out in the previous version.
- To create a new version of a published form, start by opening the Form Library.
- Right-click on the published form you wish to create a new version of and select New Version.
- You will see the following message after you select New Version.
- Click OK if you still want to create a new version of this form.
- Click Cancel if you do not want to create a new version of this form.
- The new version of your form will appear in the Form Library.
- Notice that v2 is now at the end of the name of the form and the number 2 in the Version column.
- You are now able to open, edit, and publish the new version of the form.
NOTE: The editing functionality is limited but you can delete or add to the new version. Refer to the list below for the edits you can make.
- Remove or add borders around a Section.
- Make a control required or not required where applicable.
- Create/modify control actions upon another control.
- Change the order of the Yes/No radio button control and Label name.
- Change the size of Text boxes.
- Bold/not bold and/or center/not center Display Only controls.
