The Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) is one of the Core Assessments included standard within the product. This form is a tool to measure symptoms for opiate withdrawal over a period of time.
The user can access the form directly in the Timeline by clicking the green + sign. The form window will pop-up displaying the form.
Patient's Name - The field is auto-populated with the selected Client.
Reason for assessment - The field is free text to be entered by the user.
Each Statement has a number of available responses that are each assigned a value that is used to calculate the total Score.
Total Score - The total score for all responses for the COWS is calculated and displayed in this field.
Initials of person completing assessment - The field is free text to be entered by the user.
Remember to click Save to record entered information. A sample completed COWS form is shown below:
Another user can be notified that the COWS was completed by selecting the SEND button.
A completed COWS form will also display on the Timeline. For this assessment, a white and red plus sign icon is the configured depiction.
