Charge Entry: Add & Edit a Charge

Charge Entry is where a user can see the full detail of a charge that has been created in eCR from a service that was rendered. Here a user can also create charges manually, modify existing charges, and unbill claims for resubmission to payers.

 

Access Charge Entry

Go to Day to Day > Charge Entry.

 

Search for Patient

  1. Search By - Select how you want to Search for a Charge. 
    • Patient/DOB/Record#/Account# - Search for a Charge by entering either a Patient Name, Date of Birth, Record Number, or Accounting Number.
    • Claim ID - Search for a Charge by the Claim ID.
  2. Search - After you have selected how you want to Search enter the Search Criteria here.
    • Include Inactive - If checked, the search will include Inactive Patients/Charges in the results.
  3. Patient Information from the Search displays:
    • Patient Name
    • DOB (Date of Birth)
    • Age
    • Patient Account Balance
    • Med Rec # (Patient Medical Record Number)
    • Chart # (Patients Chart Number - this will display if a charge has been created).
    • Claim ID - Will display if a charge has been created.

Enter Charge Information

  1. Providers - Enter the searched Patient's Providers.
    • Rending Provider
    • Supervisor Provider
    • Referring Provider

  2. Service Details - Enter Search Patient's Service Details:
    • Enter Date of Service.
    • Enter Date of Transaction.
    • Select Place of Service.
    • Select Facility.
    • Select Chart.
      • Include Inactive Charts in selection.
  3. Select Program for the Service.

  4. Add any additional Charge information on any or all of the following tabs:
