- Once in eCR, go to Posting 🡪 Auto-Posting.
- Retrieve the 835 Files.
- If you are using the Ability integrated solution, a process runs in the background automatically pulling in any available 835 files (The files will appear right after Auto-Posting is opened).
- If you are not using the Ability integrated solutions, you must manually retrieve the 835 files for processing (The Auto-Posting screen will pop-up blank, without files).
- To retrieve the 835 files, select Get File(s) for Future Processing...
- This will open a file explorer window that allows you to select an 835 file.
- This will open the 835 file you selected in the list.
NOTE: You must complete this process for each 835 file you wish to open.
- To retrieve the 835 files, select Get File(s) for Future Processing...
- Now that the 835 files are opened, double click on the file you wish to view/process.
- Files highlighted in red contain exceptions (you may not see any red files at the start).
- All files begin without highlights.
- If a file is opened and contains exceptions, it will appear highlighted in red after you exit the File to Post screen for that file (unless the exceptions are fixed before you exit).
- If a file is opened and does not contain exceptions, it will remain without highlights.
- After the file is double clicked, it will automatically begin matching.
- After the file is double clicked, it will automatically begin matching.
- After matching is completed (it will display “Matching Finished”), each claim in the file will now appear.
- Navigate through the tabs to post/fix the claims.
- Any tab highlighted in red (as before) contains exceptions.
- Ready to Post Tab- contains any claims that have no exceptions and are ready to be posted.
- To post claims in this section select the Post button.
- Patient Insurance Exceptions- contains any claims that have exceptions regarding the patient’s insurance information.
- Procedure Line Exceptions- contains any claims that have exceptions regarding the procedure line.
- Other Exceptions Tab- contains any claims that have exceptions not regarding the patient’s insurance information or the procedure line, these claims cannot be corrected during the Autoposting process.
- Already Posted Tab- contains any claims that have already been posted to the payer.
- Patient Insurance Exceptions- contains any claims that have exceptions regarding the patient’s insurance information.
